DuraDRAIN Case Study – Port of Brisbane

Project overview

Date of Installation: August 16, 2024
Location: Port of Brisbane, QLD

Pacific Plumbing was contracted to install a comprehensive 19-metre drainage solution at the Brisbane International Cruise Terminal (BICT), a key location where cruise ships dock and passengers embark. The installation process was executed smoothly and efficiently, with no significant delays encountered. Will, from Pacific Plumbing, expressed his appreciation for Corey, our Everhard sales representative, highlighting his exceptional support throughout the project. Corey truly went above and beyond, ensuring that the necessary product was delivered within tight time frames. His efforts made the entire process remarkably stress-free for our team, allowing us to focus on delivering quality work.

“Corey was outstanding to deal with. We wanted the product, we were in a pickle with time frames, and he went beyond to sort us out. My contact on-site was so impressed with his professionalism and dedication. We will definitely use Everhard products for future installations and we look forward to a strong partnership with Everhard”. – Will Gray, Pacific Plumbing

Challenges

The project posed unique challenges due to the design of the building, which lacked guttering, necessitating an efficient way to manage excess water. The solution involved installing DuraDRAIN channels along each section of the building, diverting water into the stormwater discharge point. This installation took place within a gardened area, so the team had to carefully hang the DuraDRAIN Drainage System without disturbing the landscape or interfering with other trades. This method provided the needed flexibility and efficiency, allowing them to complete the project smoothly.
